REACHING BEYOND THE TUTORIAL.
THE ENEMY WANDER STATE HAS BEEN COMPLETED, AND MY IBLIS TAKER CAN WALK AROUND NOW, BUT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH ITS ANIMATION, IM NOT EXACTLY SURE WHY BUT WHEN IT FLIPS ON THE X AXIS SOMETIMES IT DOES THE OPPOSITE OF HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO FLIP. I THINK THIS MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH HOW I MADE THE ANIMATIONS RATHER THAN THE CODE STRUCTURE, BUT I DECIDED I WILL INVESTIGATE THAT ANOTHER TIME. THE TUTORIAL I AM WATCHING DOES NOT HAVE BATTLE SCENE LIKE MY GAME IS OUGHT TO, SO I HAD TO GO FIND ANOTHER ONE TO FOLLOW AND SMUSH IT IN. I THINK MY WAY WILL WORK, BUT I HAVENT YET SET UP THE HURT BOXES FOR ENEMIES YET, SO I WILL HAVE TO ACTUALLY TEST IT ANOTHER TIME.MY MAIN WORRY RIGHT NOW IS MOSTLY UI, AND GAME MECHANICS.

I'M MAKING AN RPG, EVEN THOUGH I DONT REALLY LIKE RPGS, IVE ONLY PLAYED POKEMON, A TINY BIT OF PAPER MARIO, FEATHERED OUR FINGERS OVER FINAL FANTASY AND EARTHBOUND, PLAYED THE SU RPGS, AND THATS ALL THAT COMES TO MIND AT CURRENT. SO I AM COMING AT THIS BATTLE SYSTEM FROM A VERY NOT-RPG-FAN PERSPECTIVE. I'M THINKING OF MAYBE MAKING A "SPELL" SYTEM WITH DIFFERENT BUTTON COMBONATIONS, BUT MAYBE ONLY FOR CERTAIN MOVES? SINCE YOU ONLY HAVE ONE PARTY MEMBER, THERE WILL BE LITTLE "VARIETY".SO I AM THINKING,. LIKE POKEMON, YOU MAY ONLY HAVE FOUR MOVES IN BATTLE, BUT OUT OF BATTLE YOU CAN REARRANGE AND SUCH TO CHOOSE WHICH TO BRING INTO WHICH BATTLE, ADDING SOME STRATEGY TO THE SYSTEM. CERTAIN ENEMIES WILL BE WEAK TO CERTAIN KINDS OF MOVES, WHICH YOU MAY ONLY LEARN THROUGH EXPERIMENTATION. AND OF COURSE YOULL LEARN NEW STUFF BY LEVELING UP. BUT SILVER IS A BIT LIMITED. HE ISNT GOING TO START WHIPPING OUT FIREBALLS OR ANYTHING. SO I WILL HAVE TO GET VERY CREATIVE WITH HIS PSYCHOKINESIS...PERHAPS ITEM GATHERING AND TOOL USE SHOULD PLAY A BIG PART IN HOW BATTLES PLAY OUT. (AFTER ALL I WANT EXPLORATION TO BE THE MAIN DRAW OF THIS GAME). WORD VOMIT, BUT I HAVE BEEN NEGLECTING THINKING ABOUT THE GAME SYSTEMS, BUT NOW IT IS BECOMING A BIT RELEVANT, SO IREALLY MUST THINK! ANYWAY, ENJOY THE CONCEPT ART FOR BATTLE SCENE AND HOW TALK SPRITES MIGHT LOOK.
